Mariya Ilieva Associate, Investments

Mariya is an Associate on the Investment Team at Erie Street, where she supports the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities and provides financial and operational support to the Firm’s partner companies.

Prior to joining Erie Street, Mariya was an Associate in the Leveraged Finance Group at CIBC, where she assessed, structured, and underwrote leveraged and private equity-backed transactions. She began her career in CIBC’s Commercial Banking Training Program, underwriting and executing transactions across multiple industry coverage groups.

Mariya earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University, graduating summa cum laude. She serves as an Associate Board Member of the Chicago Public Library Foundation, the fundraising partner of the Chicago Public Library, supporting expanded access to education for local communities.
