Kate Later Chief of Staff, Office of the President
As Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, Kate oversees all strategic and operational activities supporting the President of Erie Street and the organization.
Previously, Kate held the position of Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Midwest at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where she established the Chicago office and Midwest presence of an AmLaw 50 firm. In that role, she managed the day-to-day operations of both the office and the Chairman, including overseeing his administrative team, business development, marketing, civic and pro bono initiatives, and more.
Before her time at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, Kate accumulated a decade of experience in senior leadership roles within Chicago’s nonprofit sector. She held positions at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, High Jump, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab), and most recently at Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Kate holds an undergraduate degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She has completed the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Chicago Fellows Program, the Development Leadership Consortium’s Management Fellows Program, and most recently, the Chief of Staff Association’s Executive Education program at Harvard Business School.
